COMMENTS: Obviously, FRANKEL, who enters this contest with the fourth-greatest Timeform rating in history, is the one to beat. However, the son of Galileo is likely to be the fourth-greatest underlay in history as well; hence, I'll look elsewhere. The filly IMMORTAL VERSE is one option. She just defeated the great Goldikova, but has been away from the races for over two months. The rapidly improving EXCELEBRATION is another possibility, as is veteran DICK TURPIN.

BET(S): WIN/PLACE on 8 at odds of 9-2 or greater and/or WIN/PLACE on 2 at odds of 12-1 or greater and/or WIN/PLACE on 6 at odds of 5-1 or greater.

COMMENTS: As I discussed on my podcast, WINTER MEMORIES, like Frankel, figures to be a big underlay on Saturday, so I'm leaning toward a couple of others. Although she's 0-for-7 in 2011, TOGETHER has been knocking heads against the best the U.S. and Europe has to offer, while MARKETING MIX is an up-and-comer that figures to get first run on SUMMER SOIREE.

BET(S): WIN on 2 at odds of 7-2 or greater and/or WIN on 4 at odds of 6-1 or greater. SHOW on 2 & 4 if 3-WINTER MEMORIES controls over 75% of the show pool.
